  • Calix van Lier (he/him)

    HEAD PROFESSIONAL, CO-FOUNDER, PRESIDENT OF TTT

    (“KAY-lix”). Born and raised near Boulder, Colorado. Played competitive tennis all over the country. Bollettieri academy? Check. Grand Junction Academy? Check. #1 singles player for DI college too. Traveling coach for a top junior player (top 2 in the country, btw). Top-level coaching experience x 20 years and counting. Yep, a legend (and a 5.0 NTRP). Oh, and RSPA professionally certified and USTA Coach. All this and brains too. Private lesson info here.

  • Katie van Lier (she/her)

    STAFF PROFESSIONAL, CO-FOUNDER, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF TTT

    Born and raised in Boise, Idaho. Taught all over the country (academies, high school programs, parks and rec, Nike camps. . .). Specializing in beginning and intermediate adults and junior players, especially the young ones. Professionally Certified by the Professional Tennis Registry since 2002, with another professional certification in Junior Tennis Development in 2019. USTA Coach in 2025. Graduated from U of Idaho with a Recreation Degree (yes, it’s a thing). Private lesson info here.

  • Bob Ewing (he/him)

    STAFF PROFESSIONAL, TTT BOARD MEMBER, USTA CERTIFIED OFFICIAL

    Bob is the former director of the Nike Tennis Camp in Meridian. He has worked for the Idaho Tennis Association for 6 years and has been the varsity tennis coach at Rocky Mountain High School for 2 years. He has taught at Crane Creek Country Club and was the tennis coordinator for the City of Boise for 3 years. He’s been playing and coaching for many years in the Boise area!

  • Christeena Sevy (aka Sevy, she/her)

    STAFF PROFESSIONAL, MARKETING DIRECTOR

    Sevy {“See-vee”) grew up in North Pole, Alaska, where she played varsity Softball and Tennis. She attended the College of Idaho in Caldwell, and earned a double major in Biology and Music. After years of not playing sports, she found herself on court with some league players and the rest is history. Sevy started coaching in 2020 at Centennial High School, and is the Varsity Head Coach since 2025. In the off season, she instructs Tennis is Elementary (TiE) through the Idaho Tennis Association, and is a tennis tournament director for the Boise metro area. She graduated in May 2024 from Idaho State University with another bachelor’s degree in marketing. She has been with TTT (on and off the court) since 2023. Sevy hopes to bring Visually impaired tennis to Idaho, improve opportunities for junior players, and run community tennis events all over the valley.

  • Gary Salazar (he/him)

    STAFF PROFESSIONAL

    Grew up junior tennis player in Southern California began competing at 8, becoming the top ranked junior in SoCal district in 16s & 18s. Div 1 tennis player for University of Colorado, Boulder, and played Pro Penn satellite circuit after college.

    Coached at Corona del Mar, won CIF championship 3 years in a row (girls team). Head Teaching Pro of Junior Development at John Wayne Tennis Club in Newport Beach, CA.

    Currently, he is the Head Coach at Rocky Mountain High School - State Champions 2022.

  • Summer Youth Tournaments 2026

    June 12-14 - USTA Sanctioned Level 6, ages 14s-18s. Singles, doubles, mixed doubles. Play at Centennial High School.

    July 17-19 - USTA Sanctioned Level 6, ages 14s-18s. Singles, doubles, mixed doubles. Play at Centennial High School.

    July 31 - Smash and Splash! Level 7 unsanctioned tournament with hot competition and cool prizes!

    Gem State Tennis Academy vs Tree Town Tennis. Sept 12 @ Owyhee High School. Come check out the youth competition of the second year of the Cup! Who will take home the trophy this year??
